Students in this upper-level Computer Security course have strong technical and professional skills, having previously completed: Group projects focused on security analysis or tool development Training in presentations, communication, and collaboration Professional preparation for careers in cybersecurity They are capable of: Exploring and applying AI tools to cybersecurity datasets or problems Investigating LLMs (Large Language Models) for phishing, detection, or automation Building or testing small tools/scripts in security contexts Conducting threat analysis and summarizing results in technical reports Collaborating in teams, presenting findings, and documenting outcomes in user-friendly formats This experience is a part of the CCA AI Readiness Consortium. Bronx Stories: Animated Educational Videos

This experience is part of the CAP 200: Bronx Beautiful course at Hostos Community College, designed to empower students with skills in community engagement, environmental justice, and AI literacy. Learners will apply their knowledge to create animated educational videos that address real-world issues relevant to the Bronx community. By collaborating in small teams, students will develop storytelling and technical skills to produce impactful, concise educational content. This experience is a part of the CCA AI Readiness Consortium. Through employer-educator partnership this experience will bring AI competencies into curricula. Exploring African-American History and Social Equity
CAP 200
This experience is designed for students enrolled in the CAP 200: Bronx Beautiful course at Hostos Community College. The course equips learners with domain-specific knowledge and AI literacy skills, enabling them to produce high-quality reports on complex social issues. Students will apply their understanding of community engagement, environmental justice, and historical analysis to collaborate with an organization focused on advancing social equity. Through this project, students will gain practical experience in researching and presenting historical narratives with clarity and cultural sensitivity.
